Good idea, but for fuck's sakes... you can do it yourself.

1. Get weird postcard.
2. Have someone other than you (because of handwriting) write some insane bullshit, including personal details you tell them about the family member.
3. Address the card from __________ (ie: Poland, Fiji, etc... Also try to use an international stamp if possible to look authentic).
4. Drop in mailbox of family member.
5. ????????
6. PROFIT!


But I applaud this guy for getting some dumbasses to pay him 200 bucks to do something they could do for 25 bucks tops.
