Best In Flames album to buy 1st?

Ok, I know this kind of thing is probably brought up endlessly, so leave out the flaming!

I'm very new to In Flames (I stress very - i.e. I've heard one song) but I'd really like to get into them more. My question is probably quite obvious...

Which In Flames album do you think I, as a noobie, should get first?

I'm pretty sure all their albums are going to be mentioned. Personally, I'd recommend The Jester Race just because it's my favourite.

Or perhaps you can work your way frontwards/backwards in their collection.

The jesters race/BAI combo cd, then get whoreacle, then get clayman then colony , i dont own any cd earlier than TJR so i cant comment, but defintly dont buy R2R its garbage

Get Whoracle. Listen to track 5 first. You'll be a fan for life.

Best starting albums are whoracle and clayman ... jester race is my fav though

Colony is definately not a good albumm to start with... if you tend to like more mainstream stuff, the go for Clayman... if you like older melodic death metal, TJR/BAI

Well there is kinda of two sounds to IF. The old and the new.. for the Old, The Jester Race for the new Clayman or Colony

Get Colony last. It's not very strong, and it's extremely weak for In Flames.

Well the general opinion seems to be that The Jester Race is a good place to start, or the combo with Black Ash Inheritance.
