yeah serj is good...but only for nu-metal vox.
death vox - mikael (opeth), aaron (my dying bride) and even though he did nt keep them long vinny (anathema)...i love his vocals on the silent enigma
black metal vox (screams) - ihsahn (emperor), dani (cradle of filth) and shagrath (dimmu borgir)
clean vox - mikael (opeth), and aaron (MDB) but mikael is, by far, the best.

Serj has a very emotional singing - I wouldn't describe his voice so narrowly for nu metal - he's just CRAZY AMAZING!!

No, I didn´t. Their political standpoint is not really what I would call ok. They also said too much shit in the interviews I read. As long as nothing changes it´s not my intention to buy one of their CDs.

He's been quite a big influence for this one Serj. I don't think there's anything that Serj does, that Patton couldn't do.
Another fave of mine is Jens Kidman from Meshuggah. Pretty raw scream this guy has!
Just listen to the Jocke Skog remix of Meshuggahs Future Breed Machine. That's heavy and twisted!
