I think these are all great actors, but my question is, what do you guys think has been the best perfomance they have given and why.

Marlon Brando
Robert De Niro
Christopher Walken
Gary Oldman
Tim Roth
Robert Carlyle
Clint Eastwood
Morgan Freeman
Samuel L. Jackson
James Stewart

De Niro is amazing but I would say Marlon Brando, especially for his performance in The Godfather

Christopher Walken rules in just about anything, but my favorite movie with him, is Suicide Kings.

Peter Sellers - the Pink Panther (great old movie)
Marlon Brando - Apocolypse Now, with The Godfather as honorable mention.
Robert De Niro - Backdraft. Cape Fear and Meet The Parents gets honorable mention here.
Christopher Walken - The Deer Hunter. My favorite war movie.
Gary Oldman - Air Force One.
Tim Roth - I don't know too many movies by him, but I know he was in Pulp Fiction, so that's my choice.
Robert Carlyle - Trainspotting ( a totally weird movie)
Clint Eastwood - Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
Morgan Freeman - The Shawshank Redemption. A great movie, and I think Morgan is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. Honorable mention to Outbreak and Deep Impact.
Samuel L. Jackson - I'm not a big fan, but I really liked The Long Kiss Goodnight, with Deep Blue Sea as honorable mention.
James Stewart - It's A Wonderful Life

And the reasons I picked these movies is because I liked them so much, which I attribute greatly to these actors and their roles in these movies.
