Sorrey azil, i know it was your idea

What so you think is the best intrumental shred cd is

I can narrow it down to

Jason Becker- Perpetual Burn ( Duh!:loco: )

George Bellas - Turn of the millenium ( This guy is good! this is total prog and not a neo-classical moment in it exept for track 2. Killer chops but also some good songs.)

Vitalij Kuprij - High Definition ( Well him and Greg Howe. Amazing)

Cacophany - Go Off ( see .1. Duh!:loco:)

Tony MacAlpine - Maximum Secuity ( One of the 80's classics )

But the winner (IMO) is.....

Rusty Cooley ~ s/t
This is amazing! you guys gotta check this one out!
This guy has chops like Mike Angelo (and is more acurate aswell) but also some super-heavy 7-string riffs. Some of his licks are soo "tasty" and "sick" it makes me wanna go home and "Stab my cat with a fork" ( < as MJR would put it)
But he also has some real soul to his music (if you listen to song like Dark matter)

If you havent heard of him check out his site www.rustycooley.com and download all of his sound clips. If you dont have time i recomend Dark Matter, Under the influence, The butcher, ebe or dominion.

ugg how can you compare Cooley to people like Becker and Romeo?

there is not one good song on that album, just pointless wank.
Anyone can practice 7 hours a day, not many have the gift of brilliant songwriting like Romeo and Becker.

btw I feel that Bellas falls into the same category.

Jason Becker - Perpetual Burn
Marty Friedman - Dragon's Kiss
Vinnie Moore - The Maze
Shawn Lane - Powers of Ten
Vitalij Kuprij - High Definition

I know you hate Cooley Azil, I've read it before.

But some of his licks are so awsomme (aswell as fast) it dosent matter
