Hey guys,
Just curious...if money was not an option and you had to jam/record in your bedroom with headphones, what would the ideal setup be to get a very good sounding metal tone?

lol if money is not an option then....

Then reamped somewhere like this:

Should cost a few pennies but since price is no option it should get you get some very good metal tones whiles being able to track in your bedroom. If you say that this is too much then you do have a price limit and that would help people understand where you want to go with this. :p

Seriously though, there's too many options and they all depend on how you want to do it and what budget you have and what kind of setup you are looking for. If you want cheap/free then amp sims and impulses. If you want hardware unit there's Axe FX. If you want to go cheaper there's the POD HD Pro. Another great option but quite expensive would be your amp of choice + a Two Notes Torpedo unit. This would give just 1 great amp tone compared to having a wide range of choices with the other options.
