Hey dudes
Last record I did, the douchebag, dumbshit guitarist from the band (I'm surprised he knew what a guitar was, let alone how to play it), decided to remove, then reattach my Beta91A while the 48v was still hot (Immediately after turning it off, it hadn't faded yet.) Unluckily it spiked, and now the mic produces a rather healthy reading on the ole' spectrum analyzer, however I paid my five hundred dollars for a kick mic, not a pink noise generator.
Has anyone managed to get a good kick sound solely using a Beta52? I'm having some serious cardboard-box sounding issues here, I've never been stuck without a good condenser before. And until I can track down a supplier for Shure inline preamps, I'm gunna be quite stuck indeed.
Cheers!
Joe
