a) No, they're not old school (by my standards) but they are deeply rooted in the OS base.
b) Their first record dated from 1988 so I guess 17 years it's quite a long time for your standards

To me the term 'old school' denotes more than just a band that has been around for almost 20 years. Its also an attitude and a certain sound as far as I am concerned.
