In my mind Stevens was always a guitar player that never lived up to his potential.

I loved Generation X and the first 3 solo album but after that awful Whiplash Smile
I lost interest in his music and Steve Stevens doing the Top Gun theme was
ridiculous!!!

Billy Idol was one of the first "harder" artists I got into (Rebel Yell era). Loved those albums and Steve's playing was unique. I was actually surprisedwhen I heard Atomic Playboys at how GOOD Steve was, at a different level of playing than I expected. I'd want to hear some stuff from the new one to see the style before I say I'm getting it.
