Bishop Lake is a Hard Rock/Metal band from Georgia. Founded by Zane (ex-Halcyon Way guitarist) Due to release an EP in Spring/Summer 2012
Biography
Bishop Lake, founded in 2011 by Zane(Guitars and vocals,ex-Halcyon Way), released their first self titled EP in December of 2012, boasting four tracks of stripped down , back to basics rock music. The second track, "Human Roadkill" has been selected to appear in Spiritworld Productions horror film, "Realm of Souls", due out late 2013. In 2013, Bishop Lake added permanent members to the roster in Glen Williams(Bass, ex-Halcyon Way), and David Prince(Lead guitars, ex-Halcyon Way). They are currently working on the follow up to the EP, a heavier and darker rock album tentatively title "The Meritocracy of Hell". They are currently seeking a permanent drummer. The band boasts the influences of Black Sabbath, Volbeat, Danzig, Black Label Society, and the Misfits.

Remember when rock was pissed and angry? Bishop Lake, the newest outing from Zane, has something to say. It has something to say about depression, about manipulation, about facing the hard truth, about not giving up. Musically, it puts together influences from across a spectrum of rock and metal from the 1970's giants (Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult), with influences of 80's thrash (Anthrax, Death Angel) and modern bands from the 90's and now(Foo Fighters, Mustasch, Queens of the Stone Age). There is no re-inventing of the wheel here, it's rock and roll in it's purest forms, presented in a package that's almost punk in it's delivery. If your a friend of rock and roll, then your a friend of Bishop Lake.
