BLACK VEIL BRIDES singer Andy Biersack (a.k.a. Andy Black) is recovering from surgery to remove a ruptured appendix. The operation took place earlier this week and comes ahead of the rocker's solo tour in April. "Just got out of surgery to remove my ruptured appendix, happy to report the procedure went very well and I should be back up on my feet in no time," Biersack wrote in a tweet on Friday (March 29). "Thanks for all of your kindness & support. P.S., seeing all of the love you guys are showing for “The Promise” means the world to me!" Earlier on Friday, Biersack released the official lyric video for the song "The Promise" from his sophomore solo album, "The Ghost Of Ohio". The disc will be made available on April 12 via Lava/Republic. "The Ghost Of Ohio" sees Black re-teaming with Grammy-nominated producer John Feldmann (BLINK-182, PANIC! AT THE DISCO), who helmed 2016's acclaimed debut, "The Shadow Side". The new album is semi-autobiographical, mining the haunted history of Black's hometown to tell a story that explores his childhood anxieties and obsessions. Black will support the album with "The Ghost Of North America" tour, a headlining run that will kick off April 7 at Ace of Spades in Sacramento, California.
