Blackstar HT METAL 100

Ola always delivers. IDK, sounds kind of shitty and muddy to me, to be honest. And he's even using an 808 in front of it. Can't imagine what it would sound like without it. Presumably the 100-watt version would sound different, but I'm not sure how much.

This is the HT5, as recorded by Ola in 2011.

Genius Gone Insane is talking about the new HT Metal series, which is different to the original HT series. For starters, the original series used EL34 in the bigger amps whereas the Metal series uses 6L6s. There will also be differences in voicing - in theory the HT Metal will sound more, metal.

I have not played a HT Metal amp yet myself so I can't comment. I just knew you'd posted up something that isn't relevant to this thread and I didn't think it was fair to not correct you in case it negatively impacts someone's perception of the amp if they read this thread and think that clip is the HT5 Metal - it isn't.

An easy mistake to make, but I'm a GAS Elephant, if I've seen something I don't tend to forget it.
