I've only heard a few songs, but what I've heard sounded pretty damn good. His solo stuff sounds like it's written to fit his vocal style and range better than Maiden. That said, I did enjoy the Blaze years in Maiden. I wouldn't say I loved every single song on both those albums, but some of them are still favorites. And he sounded great live. I got to see the Seattle show on the X factor tour, and he kicked some serious ass...despite the fact that he was coming down with bronchitis, which forced them to cancel the next few shows. (Sucked cause I had ticket to see the next show in Portland).
