Century Media Press Release:

The North American premiere of the new Blind Guardian single "And Then There Was Silence" will be at this year's ProgPower festival, November 9th and 10th at Earthlink Live in Atlanta, GA. The song will be played in between an as-of-yet unspecified set change, both nights of the event.

"And Then There Was Silence", Blind Guardian's new fourteen-minute long epic, will be the title track of their upcoming single, which will be released in December. The track will also be featured on the band's forthcoming yet-to-be-titled full-length effort, which has been slated for a February 2002 release. The single will also feature "Harvest of Sorrow", which was recorded during the group's Nightfall in Middle-Earth sessions but was left off that release due to it not fitting properly with the content of that album. The band will also include on the single a special multi-media track for fans.

ProgPower is North America's premier melodic metal festival, this years roster of performers boasts such great acts as Angel Dust, Evergrey, Kamelot, Spiral Architect, Symphony X and many more. For more information about ProgPower, please go to: http://www.progpower.com
