I absolutely love this band, have liked em for a few years now. They're playing Toronto this coming Sunday (Nov. 26th), been waiting for this show since the summer, and its going to be absolutely amazing. Any fans? Favourite albums? And most importantly, anyone going to check this band out live, either in Toronto, or elsewhere?

Used to be a fan up to 'Nightfall...'. 'A Night At The Opera' didn't do much to me and I didn't even care to get their latest. Saw them a couple of years ago in Montreal and in 1998 at Dynamo Open Air, pretty amazing especially 2-3000 people singing 'The Bard Song pt.1'. They'll be in Quebec City on the 28th and I won't go.

They played here last Sunday. I was going to go, but had no one to go with and it was a little expensive for me ($25.) so I passed. Probably missed a good show.

Checked em before and they did nothing for me. I recall bad vocals and power metal riffing:erk:

Bad vocals? Boy, you need a slapping :)

BG has some of the best, most unique, UNcheesetastic vocals in power metal. Hansi Kursch has an awesome voice. He fits well with Blind Guardian and goes even better with Iced Earth (See Demons & Wizards if you don't know what I'm talking about. Only check out the self titled though, the second album is rather meh)

Hey i like iced earth a lot, do they share the same vocalist? (power metal noob here)

^ No, Demons and Wizards and Blind Guardian do.

And the show last night was amazing, oh my.

i LOVE Blind Guardian. saw them last time they came, and of course went this time. it was a fantastic show. and i was surprised how much i enjoyed Leaves' Eyes set. they bore me on CD but, were quite enjoyable live.

and BG were just incredible. plain and simple. i also met everyone but Hansi after the show and got them to sign some stuff.

i'm right now trying to go to one of the last shows on the tour since i am done this term for university right now.

I have not listened to them for quite a while, but I really was in love with their music earlier. But I have never been to a concert although they tour my hometown quite frequently... :-/
