I like your old tones better, that really metallic sound with less gain and harder picking where you can REALLY hear the strings being hammered.

All 4 clips sound a bit too muffled for my liking too. D:

I guess I'll go back to my usual guitar sound as it fitted better the mix hehe
In parallel I will keep working on tone 2 to see if I can get anything usable.

@Jocke: Ok, I was feeling something like that but couldn't describe as well as you did. You mean I need to re-equalize the guitar sound to fit the keys or re-eq the keys to fit the guitars? ¯(°_o)/¯
Maybe you meant to change the riffs. Any particular suggestion on how should I focus the guitar sound? Now I'm kinda lost as you can see

If you want the guitars to blend in the mix, change the guitars. If you like the guitars, make the rest fit the guitars.

Everything is pretty scooped, except for the guitars, IMO. But, since taste has no rules, experiment.
