They are Progressive or Jazz Infused Extreme Metal. I find it so hard to incorporate jazz into metal. These guys can do it. This is actually Alex Websters chance to show off his bass skills. WIthout Cannibal Corpse.

Ron Jarzombek is a true guitar god. The guy is a virtuoso player & he has some of the most difficult & quirky lines imaginable.

Alex Webster is definitely the stand out in Cannibal Corpse. This goes to show that it's possible for amazing musicians to be confined in less than stellar bands.

Blotted Science is awesome. Fucking stellar instrumental prog metal. Great production too. This is truly balls to the wall playing. The only problem with the album si that the non stop playing never lets up. You can tell Ron wanted this project to be ballz to the fucking wall 5 minutes into the CD.

Check out Spastic Ink's "Compatible" & Ron Jarzombek's solo stuff too.
