Hi,
Blue Oyster Cult "Club Ninja" will be released on March 10th on American Beat Records (to compliment our reissue of "Imaginos"). Here's the whole story:
Artist: Blue Oyster Cult
Title: Club Ninja
Blue Oyster Cult, the thinking man’s heavy metal group, was formed in Long Island, NY during the late 60’s. Then going under the name Soft White Underbelly, the band was signed by Electra Records and recorded an album that was never released (although a single did emerge from the sessions under the name Stalk-Forrest Group). Dropped by Electra, the band signed with Columbia Records in 1971, changed their name to Blue Oyster Cult, and the rest is rock history! Throughout the 70’s, the band toured incessantly and released one album per year, becoming one of the top concert draws and racking up hit albums such as “Agents of Fortune”, On Your Feet Or On Your Knees” and “Mirrors”. During the first half of the 80’s, the band’s output was more sporadic, but the results were the same: heavy metal gold!

Club Ninja, originally released in 1985, once again connected with the head-banger crowd that was quickly being drawn in by a new heavy metal sound: hair metal. With Sandy Pearlman back in the producer's chair, Blue Oyster Cult once again found itself back on the Billboard top albums chart, with "Dancin' In The Ruins" climbing all the way to #9 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The old-timers were teaching the spandex crowd how it should be played. Club Ninja is B.O.C. at their best: loud and hard! Can be found at ccmusic.com.
