I can't stand that this is the new flavor of the month. Just take a look at some of Nuclear Blast's latest signings... I swear they have at least 10 bands that are kind of in that vibe now... Retro, bluesy, classic rock thing.

Singer is a mixture of Beth Gibbons (Portishead), Adele and Janis Joplin. Songs on self titled new album are amazing. Easily Album of the Year for me. Stunning Production as well.

The singer is incredible. The trippy, primitive, feedback drenched band sound needs to go though. When Cream, Hendrix, Purple and Sabbath did it, it happened because they didn't have better options. Voodoo Circle, Black Country Communion etc show us how good it can sound when heavy blues meets modern amplification.

Absolutely love the vocals but the music doesn't do much.It seems kind of muddled to me. I love the blues more along the lines of Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker and the like.
