Anyone else here into it? I recently started lifting on a regular basis and I was looking for some pointers / good workouts or exercises to do.

I´m not into body building but other sport so only pointer I can give you which works in all sports is, positive thinking. it´s gonna help you alot, and you´ll learn to think positive in life as well later on.

Make sure to include major compound movements such as squats, bench, and deadlifts into your routine. Lift weights three or four times a week, usually doing both a large bodypart (chest, back, legs) with a small bodypart (biceps, triceps, shoulders). Many people like to devote one day entirely to legs, so they can hit both the quads and the hamstrings sufficiently. Try looking at http://forum.bodybuilding.com Lots of good info on there in the exercises and workout programs sections.

Alright, thanks, I'll look into that site.

In study hall I've been lifting weights and my teacher said lift 4 times a week or so, just not everyday or you'll strain your muscles and stuff.

yes, resting is part of training, and dont forget to eat right :) that´s like, really important to eat right, coz if you dont....training will do your more bad then good....

Flexing muscles

My system is full of steroids
I don't care if it fucks with my head
Growing harder as I watch myself
Jerking off while flexing

My body is perfect and pure strength
Blood pumping hard in my veins
How easy it could be
To smash your head in with a single blow

I'm gods gift to women

Yes, eating right (and enough) is almost more important for building muscle than training itsself is. I am pretty obsessive when it comes to my diet. I eat every three hours, I eat a lot, and I eat right.

@life hehe yeah know what you mean, I think it´s coz when you are active you get hungry more often?

like on training day I eat 1 hour before training, pasta and stuff....then 30 min to 1 hour after training, then loads of protein stuff

Don't quit, because when if you do and you gain weight, fat will form around massive pecs and you will get man-boobs.. honestly. Happened to a friend of mine, and when I say friend, I mean me.

indeed. resting is 99% of my training. since when i stopped playing volleyball (which i did for 10 years) i even lost weight :D

as for the body building thing, my suggestion (from a girl perspective) would be: don't go too far. you often see people who started like a hobby and now they're crazy about it, and they have more muscles than anything else :ill:
