The Bon Jovi video rarities YouTube channel, hAnD90, has shared remastered pro-shot video of a secret acoustic show featuring Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora in Hamburg; Germany on June 25, 2001.
hAnD90: “Played somewhere on the location of the NDR studios in Hamburg. Many sites list the NDR Funkhaus, which is in Hannover to be precise, and while part of the same broadcast corperation, not the proper location for this. The late VIVA TV station aired an edited version as part of their ‘VIVA Interaktiv’ program, which missed out on three songs. Then there was the show ‘Overdrive’ on the same channel which often aired at nights and had more raw and less edited versions of these kind of band shows from their studios. The main source for this was very good, and the second one really wobbly and dizzy, but offered three more songs. Both were combined, each video track carefully and individually restored and a more pristine recording of the entire show reworked and dubbed to this. Southside Johnny and Bobby Bandiera join Jon and Richie a few songs in, and the chemistry and fun on stage is palpable. Audio and video remastered.”
