What are your opinions on bootlegs and unofficial releases? I recently found a found a site which had the Jaxx show bootleged. Does it hurt the band? The Label?

Personally i think bootleg trading is fine if its not for profit and its not available anywhere else such as on a dvd or something. I used to do a lot of COB dvd trading and a lot of the shows probably wouldn't have ever gotten on a dvd so its not like it really hurts them. also i think people selling bootlegs in limited stuff like as a favor to another collector isn't that bad but when people sell them in mass ammounts on ebay that is bad.

I don't think it hurts the band or label because usually only "die-hard" fans buy bootlegs. I could be wrong. Anyway, Nevermore is my favorite band and I have 5 of their shows on a VHS tape. I've got three shows from the DNB tour and I was at two of them. The other two shows have Pat O' Brien on guitar and are from Europe (courtesy of ledmag). I also have Nevermore demo's and Sanctuary live, (courtesy of ledmag). That's my two cents.
