Has any fan of Borknagar not heard this? it seems this one and The Olden Domain are always forgotten for inferior albums.

I need this one, I find "The Olden Domain" to be in a class all it's own when it comes to Borknegar.

Its really awesome and constantly overlooked, Empiricism is still my favourite though. I could never really get into the Olden Domain nearly as much though, just never really clicked I guess.

I'll take The Olden Domain over the debut because that messy blackmetally thing isn't so much to my taste, but there is some great stuff happening on that first album.

And Vintersorg should have been out after two albums. That's the pattern. Bastards.

the olden domain is closer to the s/t (although the archaic course is a fucking gem when it comes to music, and quintessence is garbage just for the record), but it's their weakest album. it doesn't really go anywhere... the songs are boring. imagine the s/t being slower in general, and with more keys and clean vocals. it's still good, but not their best at all.
