Boston area question

hey y'all
seems that in/near boston, places to hang out and hear/see metal are nowhere to be found...
anyone got any ideas???
bars and other venues that cater to the metal crowd...
or is it hopeless???
i mean, i can dig the goth/fetish scene, but the music (mostly)
sucks!
