Listened to it last night...as expected, the Jarzombek brothers tear it up throughout, and the vocals give the track a tech-thrash feel...he even sounds a bit like Joey Belladonna during the verses.
Not a fan of endless shredding, that is why I can't take instrumental albums. They bore me to tears. I listened and was super impressed by the drumming and the guitars, but it left me with a feeling of bleh. There was no feeling in the music or the singing so it turned me off.
Ron Jarzombek will be viewed over the years as a lasting and significant composer, as well as player. I personally think he's one of the few who can carry on in the spirit of Frank Zappa, but with his own identity!!
Hell yes! I've been waiting so long for them to make this stuff... Ron is soo damn good, and his writing technique is bizarre, he uses mathematical stuff. Oh, man, I'm going to buy this CD when it comes out!
