We are still alive!

You all had to wait a long time in this year. But now we are very pleased to announce the date for the 7th Break the Ground: From 11.-13.06.2015 we will present you a varied Line-Up again. The first confirmations of bands will follow within the next few days so you can be curious about that. Please use our Forum ( http://www.break-the-ground.de/forum/ ) to communicate your band desires, suggestions, criticisms, etc. to help us improve the festival in your favour.

Metallica and Volbeat on Thursday!?!

Who would have thought it? And who would believe it? Nobody, of course. But all of you who will visit the Break the Ground Festival 2015 from the beginning will think that these two legends are live on stage in Ahnsbeck. The two tribute bands METAKILLA and REBEL MONSTER will ensure that and give you a top-class show.

With that the Thurday will become a special position from next year on but it will still belong to Break the Ground. On Friday and Saturday we will present a good mix between newcomers and scene giants as usual. We are also working on concept for Sunday. We hope that we can announce something the next time.

First Band on Friday: FINAL DEPRAVITY


Now we we can also start with announcements of bands for the two main days.
First we are proud to present bFINAL DEPRAVITY for Friday evening at BTG 2015. The four guys come from the Ruhr District in the west of Germany and will give you a concentrated charge of Thrash Metal.

STEELPREACHER strikes back!!!

After their great performance in 2012 STEELPREACHER will be back at BTG on 12.06.2015. You can find the three Old School Metalheads from Koblenz anywhere between AC/DC, Motörhead, W.A.S.P., Saxon and Accept. Keyboards or something similar will not be found at the performance of STEELPREACHER.
Because what you find here is just pure Heavy Metal.

DRONE!!!

Four men, four individuals, no rules, no limits but one hell of a punch!
Founded in 2004 the boys are spreading their thrash-hammer over the blue planet for nearly 10 years now. They call their style "101% sexmetal"!
Major skill: The powerful and devastating live-show, by which they established their international reputation in the metal-scene.

Pure Heavy Metal – MAJESTY

Like no other band in the world MAJESTY stands for catchy and all pure Heavy Metal which shakes ground like an earthquake. Every song is a hymn and invites to raise the fist into the air and to sing along – on the album as well as live on stage. When MAJESTY come to BTG 2015 in June they will also have their new album onboard on which they are working actually.

The Pirates Are Back - ALESTORM

Avast, ye landlubbers! From the deepest darkest depths of eastern Scotland comes ALESTORM, a drunken band of pirates on an epic quest to drink your beer, steal your rum, and be the greatest damn band that ever did sail the seven seas! On their journey they will join Break The Ground 2015 for the second time and will headline the Friday.

This three guys really kick ass! With their mix from Punk and energetic Rock`n`Roll the Bastards will invite you to dance at late night. It will be late night because they will give you the 'Good Night Butt Kick' on Saturday evening at Break the Ground 2015 and send you back to your tents pretty powered out.

It’s very easy to describe the music of EPITOME. Nothing will be founded new – here you can celebrate everything making fun since ever: METAL. The fourth time with us: CRIPPER

German Thrash Metal scene is hard to imagine without Hanoverian whizz kids. Playing a proper mixture of both classic old-school and modern influences, spiced up with some Swedish Death-Metal ingredients, Cripper stands for individual groove-oriented Thrash Metal with ass-kicking moshparts and technical refinement. They proved that at Break the Ground three times and they will do it again in 2015 coming along with their new album 'Hyëna'.

BTG 2015 with MOTORJESUS

Rock rules supreme. Period. And if you think about it, you’ll agree. No matter how extreme any taste in metal might be, if you put on staples such as AC/DC, Motörhead or Sabbath, the fists start pumping, heads start nodding and the party starts rocking. Headliner 2015 – KORPIKLAANI

'Happy Little Boozer', 'Vodka', 'Beer, Beer', 'Let’s Drink' – Just a little choice of songs from the finish Folk Metal guys but it reaches to anticipate what awaits us at their show on Break the Ground 2015. The 'Clan of the Forest', which is the translation for KORPIKLAANI, will headline the Saturday evening and they will demand everything from you in front of stage with their Hummpa-impregnated sound.

However, if that wouldn’t be enough: We have another surprise for you which we will announce the next days. Just this in advance: We highly recommend to take holiday on Monday.

TORFROCK on Sunday – Pre Sale is running

Some of you still guessed it: TORFROCK will play at Break the Ground Open Air 2015 on Sunday which is in program the first time. For more than 38 years the band tells their stories from Torfmoorholm on stages all over Germany. With classics like 'Rollos Taufe' or Hites like 'Renate' and 'Beinhart' they are ongoing with inspiring their fans.
