IT is less head-banger, more Nutcracker. Brian Johnson, the gravel-voiced singer with hard rock group AC/DC, has composed an orchestral piece of music that is being developed for the stage as both a ballet and a West End musical.

The Tyneside-born Johnson, 55, who credits his talent for screaming out rock lyrics to his army sergeant-major father, began writing Helen of Troy as a distraction from performing such heavy-metal anthems as Given the Dog a Bone and Rock'n'Roll Ain't Noise Pollution.

I don't see why not. As long as they don't let him actually sing it. If it comes off, it'll be a good retirement plan. He's not going to be able to do AC/DC for much longer. I'm surprised he still can.

I saw a recent photo from the boys from AC/DC today, and god they have aged alot in the last couple of years. They looked good when I saw them on the last tour, but it looks like it has finally caught up with them.

Yes and I noticed on a TV ad recently regarding their remasters collection that Brian uses an autocue! One would have to ask why? They do 200 shows a year.

i don't think they need any extra cash to retire on!!!!
it will be a real shame when they finally call it a day because they never let there fans down ! I can't believe the number of shows they do
