PowerOfMetal.cl recently interviewed Saxon / Diamond Head guitarist Brian Tatler ahead of Saxon’s upcoming appearance at The Metal Fest 2025 in Chile.
In this exclusive conversation, Brian shared his excitement about being part of the songwriting process for Saxox and the NWOBHM legends are planning a new studio album for sometime in 2026.
During the chat, Tatler also spoke about being a key figure in the development of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and how Metallica was a boon for him and Diamond Head when Metallica covered their songs.
Metallica have covered four Diamond Head songs – each from their legendary 1980 debut Lightning To The Nations. Tracks Metallica have payed homage to “Am I Evil?”, “Helpless”, “The Prince”, and “It’s Electric”.
