Blabbermouth.net said:IRON MAIDEN Singer Airlifts Beirut Evacuees - July 21, 2006
World Entertainment News Network reports that IRON MAIDEN singer and qualified pilot Bruce Dickinson airlifted 200 British citizens who had fled war torn Beirut, Lebanon back to the U.K. yesterday (July 20). The 47-year-old flew a Boeing 757 to Cyprus where he picked up the evacuees and flew them back to London's Gatwick Airport. A colleague says, "He was only too keen to get involved and help. "He has a strong interest in the welfare of people caught up in international conflicts and cares about what is going on."
Jesus Christ, what will he do next? I'm anticipating this one:
IRON MAIDEN Singer Saves Planet, Sacrifices Life - April 1, 2013
Earlier in the week, as scientists worldwide have progressively insisted upon the imminent destruction of the planet from a giant meteor, IRON MAIDEN singer and qualified pilot Bruce Dickinson took it upon himself to save the world. The 54-year-old frontman flew his rocket plane high into the sky, penetrating the earth's atmosphere, to meet the meteor head on. He successfully destroyed the meteor, re-routing the giant fragments away from the planet. Unfortunately, he did not survive. Says his bandmates, "Bruce was truly a martyr. He should be worshipped by all...he saved us all." Reportedly, mini cults dedicated to the late singer have sprung up worldwide, holding rituals at two minutes to midnight while listening to the band's albums and reciting the lyrics in a trance-like fashion.
