your mix is great, everything is pretty well balanced and sits in a nice place.

but here are my suggestions:

vocals could be buried a bit more. kick could use some highs to make it cut thru more. and the snare could be raised just a touch. but the main issue here for me is the guitars are way too scratchy. you lose the "heavy" sound you're going for because of that. I would start by rolling off everything above 8k-9k. are these actually recorded guitars? or an amp sim?

they are recorded guitars. this was my first legit album so theres many things i wouldve done differently if i knew and not turning down the gain is something i regret. i agree with the kick aswell, i wish i wouldve choosen a better sample and eq some more highs...

many people also said to turn down the vocals but the guitar is pretty basic so i think the vocals needed to stand out some... keep it interesting, if the guitar were more complex i wouldve definately had the vocals lower.

I would definitely turn those vocals down some dude. They can still stand out even if lowered 2db. They're just really loud as is. I would do a low pass as stated but also take out a good bit of 4k to get rid of some of the harshness and fuzzyness in the tone.

are you talking about doing the low pass on the vox?

the guitar tracks were pretty bassy, you think i still shouldve turned it down with really bassy guitars? clearly i wouldve prefered to add more highs to the guitars and turned down the vox but that made the guitar sound really sctrachy, the distortion was almost annoying.. almost lol.
