always avoided this band cause i guess i felt they were probably too mainstream or something, but it seems they had an album or two that were pretty rockin before they became the trend hoppers i suspected them to be...been rockin Burn My Eyes the past few days, some parts seem a little dated (even though it was probably innovative at the time) but a lot of songs are pretty damn

Never liked anything beyond Burn my Eyes. It's cool to dig this album out and give it a couple spins but it has no staying power for me. Fear Factory's Soul of A New Machine and Demanufacture still kick my ass every time I play them. Not too much from the early/mid 90's stuck with me through the years.

unrelated/related The first Life of Agony record is a great early "groove" record too even though they were a bit different from Machine Head. drop C riffs is what they have in common.
