BURNER - One For The Road
Arctic Music Group - 2002

By Mark Bridgeman

Southern-infuenced rock with a heavy, nitro-charged sound that belts out at 100 miles an hour. Kicking off with 'American Dream', Burner hit you with ball-breaking rock right out of the gate. Clint Denny is a monster of a vocalist, blending Anselmo venom with Roth's whiskey swagger into a razor-sharp delivery.

Burner is a dirty-sounding band, one for lovers of pure American rock. Aerosmith mixed with Kyuss. J.P Soars belts out back breaking riffs, and the rhythm section of Threlkel and Moreno (since replaced by James Wellman) is a tight, solid backing to the whole enterprise.

If heavy rock is your scene, and you like it sweaty, attitude-ridden, and swaggering like a drunkard, Burner is for you.
