anyone else around here digging this album as much as me?..it's just so tasteful and melodic. Not a bad track and it flows really well beginning to end.

A breakthrough for sure, even though I do like their last record "Origo" this new one is a big step up.

I dunno if they fit entirely into the PP landscape enough; and they quite possibly will be touring to support this album..at least in Europe if not the States as well.

but man, the proggy, parts in this album could appeal to some of the people around here. One piece is quite reminiscent of King Crimson.

THE VOCALS I guess are the biggest thing for some as their singer does do some screaming, but more like Mastodon than a lot of other Death Metal singers (not that, that would be a problem necessarily?..Orphaned Land = has played PP and is on the roster for PP X afterall).

it's nearing 4.5 stars in my book already..climbed to #3 on my top albums for the year, and my favorite Metal record thus far.

others thoughts?

curious?
