Wow, you've got pretty kickass taste for a newbie. :)

The only group on there that I'm really into is Electric Wizard, so I'll give you recs based off of them:

Orange Goblin
Faster-paced, rock-'n'-roll style stoner metal with a similar heaviness and bluesy quality to Wizard. They do have some shitty albums, so I recommend starting with The Big Black.

Eyehategod
Sludge metal - also very heavy and blues-based, with a lot of harsh vocals. I've only heard Take as Needed for Pain, and that was pretty solid.

Sleep
Probably the most similar to Wizard out of the 3 I've listed. Their early stuff is Sabbath-esque stoner/doom, very similar to Wizard's s/t album. Their last album, Dopesmoker, is my favorite of theirs - really slow, hypnotic, and droning, with shaman-like vocals. I've listened to it on repeat for hours on end before.

Yeah Ive heard Sceptics Universe and I liked it. Also Orange Goblin is great, I listened to Theiving from the House of God a while back and dug it. Ill check out Sleep and EyeHateGod next. Only thing Ive heard from eyehategod is Dixie Whiskey (I think thats the name of it) and enjoyed it.

Awesome, glad to know I was on target. :kickass:

Spite Extreme Wing
Dark Fortress
Lykathea Aflame
Decrepit Birth
Endstille
Enslaved
Agalloch
Nasum
Rotten Sound

Lykathea Aflame is nice, really good drummer. The Mantle is badass, used to have it need Pale Folklore. All I have from Nasum is Grind Finale but the only band who could ever pull off short songs, to me, was Napalm Death. But if you could recommend a Nasum cd I should listen to ill check it out. Other than that ill look up the rest (so much to choose from).

Blut Aus Nord - The work which transforms god

1349 - Hellfire

Do Make Say Think - Winter hymn Country hymn Secret hymn ( V5 recommended this and I have been listening to this album for the last 4 months, great stuff.)

And seriously, I can't keep Sacramentum - Far Away From The Sun off a list.

I'll think of more later.

Bit late maybe but the albums Shift and Helvete (while the songs are still kinda short but more in the range of 2minutes or smt) are fucking brilliant.
