Now that I look at it, whats even stranger is that Deadhole released a single CDr demo 12 years ago.
They have little to no social media presence, dont even look to be together. Googling the word will give you a couple hits, but mostly just the Autopsy song they're named after and coal mining. A 12 year old CDr probably isnt even listenable at this point.

I am aware that CD-rs degrade over time, but I own multiple CD-rs that are more than 12 years old which still play without issue.

Hm. Well maybe it had something to do with the computer I've burned them on in the past or mp3 quality or whatever? I have CDrs from ~2007 when I graduated highschool that arent listenable. Not that anyone would want to listen to iced earth/goregrind mashups anyway.
I'm not a big believer in disc rot, other than CDrs.
