Always Somewhere!
Well it's 12/24/05 and our weather has been fantastic...or should that be fanTANstic!!!
surf.jpg

surf swells have been 10-15 feet, unusual for us but I think it may have something to do with the Japanese earthquake. currently it's 76 degrees with a high expected on 84 degrees. I love looking at pictures of the snow, it's very beautiful, I just can't handle cold weather!!!!

Yeah, its supposed to around 70-71 (F) here inthe greater Tampa Bay area. I don't mind the cold weather...I just don't want to live in it. Have a Wonderful Christmas...Holiday Season and New Year!

Same weather without the sea here

I just took a walk to a nearby commercial center (no way I will drive on Dec 24th) and it's damn hot outside.

I love snow too and I miss it, but of course this weather is nicer as long as there's no fucking rain! Rain should be outlawed, declared a terrorist, ban by the UN :yell:

ugh, can't imagine CHRISTmas in a hot weather place. how do you get into the spirit sweltering in your car on your way to buying gifts. wait?? let me guess. Air conditioning?

ill take my 4 seasons
merry CHRISTmas all, stay Metal

Hey, don't knock it until you try it! Hanging christmas lights in shorts and a tank top while drinking some beers isn't bad in my book!!! I lived in Chicago for 23 years and you can have the cold/snow stuff. I'll take take the weather down here any day. Although it has been quite chilly in the 60's lately!:tickled:

Screw the four seasons, why be miserable half the year? Of course, I wouldn't bitch much if the half year consisted of spring and autumn! That's why I winter in Arizona and summer in Montana. I pretty much avoid the extremes that way and it's a luxury I am very thankful for.

BREAK OUT THE SUNSCREEN!! I have no idea how you all do that year after year...must be sno-balls for sure!:tickled:

LOL - after 41 years, you get used to it. I still hate winter, and the cold, but there aren't many places I'd rather be in Spring or Summer....except MAYBE San Diego.....

J-Dubya - Knew if he waited long enough, he wouldn't have to shovel his driveway! :Spin:

It's been unseasonably warm. Went to the Broncs game Saturday and didn't put a jacket on until late in the third quarter. It was close to 70 degrees (Farenheit, of course) on Christmas day. The youngsters up the street from my sister had their new toys out all afternoon long. These old bones didn't mind it a bit. :D

You have it all wrong. If you live below the tropic of Capricorn you also have four seasons. Only they are inverted, the winter months are June-July, so the summer will be December-January and Christmas will always fall in sunny, hot days.

You have to remember that Santa and all that jazz was invented in Nordic countries and therefore associated with snow and cold days. Nowdays with globalization has going all the way across christian countries as an economical thing more than the religious it used to be, and associated with that business goes a whole image (advertisement) which deals with cold, snow, pine trees, etc. But it's far from the reality of those living in the south and the spirit is (or should be) based on another historical/cultural/climatic condition.
