Can triggers damage mic preamps?

I know Andy likes do run his triggers straight into mic preamps.

I just wonder if this could damage a mic preamp under any circumstances...? I have some Neve and API's that love too much to loose.

Why waste those preamps on the triggers? Buy a behringer ada8000 for that purpose

no shit dude - what's the point of hitting a neve or api with a trigger? it's not going to impart any tonal characteristic on the track later...save that shit for your OH's, or even some room mics or something
