Canadian postal workers are on strike as of June 03, 2011

The Canadian Postal Union has actually not gone and done a full work stoppage, but has announced that they will be doing rotating strikes in various areas. So far only the cities of Winnipeg and Hamilton have had no delivery and processing, but they are to be getting back on track in the new week. On Monday, the Union will announce which are the next centres are next to be impacted.
I am one of those customers that will be affected by this action. :(

My latest Nightmare package made it to my mailbox just under the wire. The Crown Corperation that runs Canada Post has officially locked out the striking union workers, thus halting all mail service within Canada. They claim it is to stop the loss of capital funds (claiming 100 million in lost revenue since the start of the strike), but most realize it is to force the union heads back to the table and end the strike.
