CANNIBAL CORPSE "Evisceration Plague"

Don't remember that album really. Corpse is way past its prime (like 10-15 years), so I don't really know why one would listen to them much when theres so much better death metal out there.

I'll have it in about 15 min (rapidshit is being slow)

I can't WAIT to hear this, anyone else listen to it yet?

it is more "old-school" and less technical like the kill album was, i think it's a pretty good (typical cc) album with a lot of energy. and i'll see them on saturday! :headbang:

Holy shit "Priest of Sodom" is fucking brutal. This is good shit.

Have fun seeing them live, they are awesome live I was fortunate to see them headline last year and met corpsegrinder.

< Likes CC I can't help this

It's slower paced than Kill and it takes a few spins to really appreciate it but there some serious groove monsters on there, like the title track.

They are maybe past their prime but I definitely wouldn't say that their albums have dropped significantly in quality. For me, their still one of the best DM acts out there and their live shows are still thrilling, too. How could anyone resist the Corpsegrinder's charme? Genuinely badass that guy.

Ugh I saw em a couple years back on the tour with Dying Fetus and Necrophagist. Maybe it was just because they followed those two intense bands, but I got painfully bored after 4 or so songs and left.

Yeah man, the title track is definitely one of my favourites on the new one! So fucking heavy... Works great live too. (I did go to the CC/COB tour in the end... just had to see Corpse no matter the shit surrounding it.)

hammer smashed face, staring through the eyes of the dead, stripped raped and strangled, the bleeding

you dont really need more CC than that

pretty much agree with everyone here. The high points of the album are definitely when they slow it down a bit, but nothing worthy of purchase.

on the other hand, the new Napalm Death is immense!!
