I'm hoping this is an easy answer for someone because I have been ripping my brain apart trying to remember this... So I heard a band that was listed as a "New Release" on Rdio last month, there were only 2 albums listed under the artists discography page (in Rdio) and that was the current release and an instrumental version.
The first song (I believe) starts out with a deep synth, and some sort of sitar, with a more middle eastern progression to it before going into some vocal growling.
The album cover is like a dirty yellow color, with an Anubis statue on the left side (all this detail and I can't remember the damn artist or song names?! So old!)
Hoping to GOD one of you knows this as I know there isn't much to go on. And, yes, I have already looked through my history. Not there.
