Drum-cam footage of Daniel Wilding of reactivated British extreme metal pioneers CARCASS performing the song "Unfit For Human Consumption" on September 23 at Reggies rock club in Chicago, Illinois can be seen below.CARCASS' new album, "Surgical Steel", sold around 8,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 41 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on September 16 in the U.K., September 13 in the rest of Europe and September 17 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The effort was produced by Colin Richardson (FEAR FACTORY, MACHINE HEAD, NAPALM DEATH, SLIPKNOT, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE) and mixed by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ACCEPT, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY).Joining guitarist Bill Steer and bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker in CARCASS' current incarnation are Wilding and guitarist Ben Ash (PIG IRON, DESOLATION, LIQUEFIED SKELETON).In a recent interview with Voices From The Darkside, Walker stated about Wilding: "Dan is a great drummer who fits CARCASS better, without minimizing the work of [previous CARCASS drummer Daniel] Erlandsson. We are now once again a complete British band and that makes a huge difference."He added: "Dan is already almost a true veteran. He has performed live a lot with HEAVEN SHALL BURN and has played a lot in South America. He also used to tour with ABORTED in the U.S. and throughout Europe. It's also through ABORTED that I got to know him.""This album is the first album on which Dan plays without a click track, [and] you can really hear that. A click track makes an album sound very sterile, if you ask me. "The drums have always been a big part of the sound of CARCASS. I think that Dan has listened very well to our back catalogue and unconsciously got influenced by Ken's [Owen, original CARCASS drummer] way of playing."
