CARNEIA is an experimental band that combines intelligent thoughtful riffs, melodies one can hum, a variety of rhythmic styles, instrumental improvisation, and a voice that can compete with the high standards set by Franky Desmet of Channel Zero. All of that creates an eclectic sound that incorporates several musical genres going from alternative rock to post-hardcore and back to progressive metal.
CARNEIA rose in 2007 out of the ashes of the heavy rock band KYUNIN. Convinced about the fact that new ways needed to be explored, Carneia locked themselves up in their rehearsal room and started to write and compose music influenced by bands such as TOOL, MESHUGGAH and AMENRA...
At the end of 2007 CARNEIA decided to start the recordings of their first full length album ‘White Coma Light’ in ‘¼ inch Jack Studio’. The result is a full length album containing 7 songs which people tend to describe as heavy, dark, and sometimes melancholic.
