Carvin Dc 717

There's no 717.

There's the 727 (two humbuckers, 3-way switch and coil splitters) and the 747(two humbuckers, 5-way switch and a single).

I've been lurking in quite a few forums and the word is that all carvins are solid guitars.

The Satanic Rabbit has a DC127 and he's loving it.

P.S. I really think this thread should be moved to te musicians' corner.

It will be an excellent axe. There is no question that Carvins are top of the line instruments. There is no bullshit with Carvin. No cheaply made models using the Carvin name that have shotty craftsmanship. Superb instruments!

I was looking at getting the CL450 because I want a classical guitar, but I'm not good enough at that style so I settled on an Alvarez instead.

Yes my DC127 kicks ass and next electric I get will be another Carvin for sure. And if I were to get a seven string I would definitely get a Carvin, probably the 727...especially for 7-string you want the meat, don't really see the purpose of having a single coil. But if you really want a 7-string that is truly versatile, that 747 is probably tough to beat.

Vote Carvin 2004 :D
