Caveman finishes mixing new album

final frontier... there's been a few hints about them doing one more and then calling it a day... but crikey, can you REALLY imagine the likes of steve harris & bruce dickinson retiring? Neither of 'em ever seem to even take a day off!
Bruce I can see getting more into the other aspects of his life and maybe doing a solo album here and there. Steve on the other hand, I have no idea what he would do without Maiden.
Really though, I think this could be their last album, followed by an extensive world tour, then a break, then another addition to the 'history' series followed by another tour, then time off, then maybe a farewell tour or something, so they really could draw it out over another 5 years or so, after which they probably SHOULD retire lol.

I can see Steve still being involved in stuff, even if he's not performing - maybe he can learn how to produce and edit. Maybe he can oversee heaps of awesome Maiden live albums and videos being released over the next twenty years or so.

As for Dave, Nicko and Janick... no idea. They would probably fade into obscurity. Adrian can do solo stuff and help out Brucey on his own solo stuff now and then.

I really want to know why you all think Steve is a workaholic when he does sod-all these between Maiden stuff. At one point years ago he was editing their videos and everything, but these days what does he do between tours and recording?

I don't see Steve as a workoholic, I just can't imagine him doing much in music aside from Maiden. Maybe he will get involved in his daughters career more or something.

Or, he'll retire and spend his time with his younger kids, and play football on the weekends
Bruce: will be as busy as ever (although he'll be out of a radio job unless someone else offers him one)
Dave: will spend his time playing golf, and generally just enjoying his riches in retirement
Adrian: will possibly do a side project, but will spend time fishing, and enjoying his riches in retirement
Nicko: has shown he is interested in side projects, such as the odd music project and his restaurant, and will also play golf and enjoy his riches in retirement
Janick: will perhaps take some guitar lessons

They've shown that they don't have anything to prove, or a desire to prove anything, after getting back on top of the metal tree after the Blaze years.

It's still a shame they didn't make movies like the Beatles did. Who wouldn't want to see the gang get into shenanigans, maybe a Scooby Doo-style adventure with Nicko and Eddie getting into trouble?

I will not be amazaed if this is their last album, but I would be a little saddened, But Bruce would have more time to do more awesome solo albums
