Chameleon Labs 7720 vs Slate Digital VBC

I've been looking into getting a decent outboard buss compressor and the 7720 seems to be good a good choice considering my budget, but I have heard a lot of great stuff about VBC, claiming it is just as good if not better than budget comps such as the 7720. What are your guys thoughts on this?

I had the 7720. VBC kicks the shit out of it.

Can't speak for the 7720 but the Slate's VBC is a work of art.

Also vouch for VBC, plus it's 3 compressors with 3 different flavours.

The 7720 is only good once modded for 2buss. But other then that VBC crushes it 10 fold.

VBC wins out almost always for me (against other software comps) fat, punchy and the release times are lovely.
