Blech, nor would it deserve to. Cramped, with runways that crisscross, thereby limiting the air traffic flow..... Urk.
O'Hare had regained the #1 slot while ValuJet's shutdown decreased Atlanta-Hartsfield's volume, but I think we got the crown back. For what it's worth. I'm pretty sure London Heathrow and Paris Orly are high in the list, too.
Busiest cargo airport in the world: Memphis, Tennessee.
Regarding PP and ticket sales, mtlheart had it exactly right. For the bands that Glenn is currently booking, Earthlink Live is the perfect size. Sure, it sells out fairly quickly even with $100 tickets, but it still took 3 days. Moreover, at this point anyone who wants to come (and has the money to buy a ticket at face value) can scoop up a ticket via this very forum: at this moment there appear to be at least 6-10 tickets for sale by fans to fans. If you know anyone who missed out, tell 'em to check the sticky topic at the top of the Forum.
Earthlink really is an amazing venue in so many ways -- good backstage amenities, even for five bands; an in-house editing and production studio (it was new last year); air-conditioning to die for -- in fact, it was cooler in the auditorium than it was backstage, even during shows..... Floor area or seats, so if you just want to get off your aching feet and watch, you can....
Did I mention.....the curtain! I can only think of three musical venues in Atlanta that have a curtain! Band-members can line-check their gear right before they go on....
The list goes on and on.....
