So this is sort of a weird one but I've got active preamps in most of my basses and they all do something absurd like 18dB of boost/cut with 50k pots for each of the eq bands. I'm wondering if there is a way to limit this and get it down to 9dB or something more usable where I could get more precision from the pots within the usable range.
I'd also be really curious about stepped pots though I realize there is a space issue with that.
Any help from the electronics guru's would be much appreciated. Thanks!
