"Chapter VI" > "Ancient Dreams"

Candlemass "Chapter VI" is one of the most underrated albums in history. "Where the Runes Still Speak" is better than just about ANYTHING they did with Messiah. Several other songs, like "The Dying Illusion", "The Ebony Throne" and "Julie Laughs No More" are also complete and total winners, edging out most of the second part of the far more revered "Ancient Dreams," for example, which I think is pretty bland except for the "hits."

Now you may proceed shouting heresy, bloody murder, etc. For anyone who hasn't heard this album because of its poor reputation though, I highly recommend it. It even has cool design/layout with neat drawings.

"Chapter VI" is definetally underrated and great but still the least good out of the first 5 Candlemass albums.

I was about to shout blasphemy when I realized I don't remember ever listening to this CD. I swear I must have, but I totally can't remember it at all. I'll go check it out.

Still, Nightfall and Ancient Dreams are just damn good CDs.

While Chapter VI is good, it doesn't touch the majesty of the mighty 3 Messiah albums.
