Following on from their 2000 mini-album ['The Foul Year Of Our Lord' (Undergroove)], Stoke natives CHARGER present here a mix of head-smashing hardcore, squeezed through a wall of feedback, melancholic angst, and wall'o'sound guitar-n-vox combo that should see them settling in comfortable amidst fresh and new core fiends making the rounds of the UK.

Music to be miserable, stoned, loud, aggressive, downright shitty and bounce around your front room to. This is in-your-face, fuck off music that should please anyone who savours a taste of sludgey, fedback hardcore. No pretty melodies, but not mired in characterless chords against zombie drums either.

The first track sounds like Sabbath fronted by Mr Rollins, and this remains a similar description throughout. It's not entirely original, but it's refreshing at the same time. A solid debut, that would crush nuts live.
