On March 7th 2009 three of the South's best underground metal acts - Terrathorn, Eternal Torment and Pariah will be playing a charity fundraiser at The Firehouse, Southampton in aid of Iraqi metal band ACRASSICAUDA.
ACRASSICAUDA were formed in 2001 in Iraq and have been trying to play the metal that they love for the past 8 years. The band have had their rehearsal space bombed, had to sell their instruments for food, been made refugees and are now living under the threat of death if they return to Iraq. Most normal people would have given up years ago, but, they have struggled on through adversity with the one aim of staying together as a band. We're proud to help fellow musicians and especially brothers of metal. Therefore, all money taken on the night will be donated to the band in the hope that it will help them along their way.
